We are trusted for our personalised and professional service and recognised for our commitment to delivering quality talent and opportunities. Our kids have worked across a broad range of roles, from advertising campaigns to television and feature films.

We strictly limit the numbers on our books, because it’s our desire to see each and every one of our Starfish Kids succeed. The best way to do this is to work with you one-on-one, and we won’t ever conduct an interview over the phone or email. We’re proud to say that the majority of our Starfish Kids will receive work within their first twelve-month contract. We want all of our talent to have their chance to shine and if that means working twice as hard to make that happen, then that’s what we’ll do.


You’ll need to seriously think about whether being a Starfish member is right for you, your child or your family though as it’s a big commitment. Owners, Hannah and Michelle, are mums themselves and have both had children who have worked in the industry, so we understand the demands and what’s required. Because we’ve been through it, we can offer advice based on our past experiences if needed.

Step One

Complete an online application form and arrange a face to face interview. This usually takes about 20 minutes and gives you the opportunity to learn more about us and what is involved, while we assess your suitability.

Step Two

If your interview is successful, the next step will be to arrange a photoshoot. This will be held in our Warriewood studio and usually takes between 30-45 minutes. You will be required to bring a couple of different outfit choices along with you. At the end of the photoshoot, we’ll have everything we need for your child, yourself, or your family to become a member of the Starfish Kids family!

Step Three

We will set up your website profile and sign you up for Casting Networks, which is a casting and audition management software where we communicate with our clients and also submit talent to advertising briefs. You will receive your own logins for Casting Networks and also our website so you can go in and adjust sizes, height and hobbies.

We will also send you copies of all of the photos taken at the photo shoot, which is all included in the membership price. This process normally takes 2 weeks and you will receive a confirmation once this process has been completed.

Step Four

It’s official – you’re a Starfish member and can now be presented for work.

New Management/Photographic fee is $525 inclusive of the following:

  1. Representation & marketing for 12 months.
  2. One studio photo shoot.
  3. Photos supplied via downloadable link. Five of these photos will then be selected by Starfish Kids to appear on your child's comp card.
  4. Individual profile page on the Starfish Kids, Casting Networks & Casting App sites.
  5. Renewal fee after 12 months is $425 per year.

Management/Photographic fee for families with 3 members & under is $175 inclusive of the following:

  1. Representation & marketing for 12 months.
  2. One studio photo shoot.
  3. Photos supplied via downloadable link.
  4. Individual profile pages on the Starfish Kids, Casting Networks & Casting App sites.
  5. Renewal fee after 12 months is $175 per year.

Management/Photographic fee for families with 5 members & under is  $275 inclusive of the following:

  1. Representation & marketing for 12 months.
  2. One studio photo shoot.
  3. Photos supplied via downloadable link.
  4. Individual profile pages on the Starfish Kids, Casting Networks & Casting App sites.
  5. Renewal fee after 12 months is $275 per year.
  6. Additional family members are charged at $50 per person

New Management/Photographic fee is $275 inclusive of the following:

  1. Representation & marketing for 12 months.
  2. One studio photo shoot
  3. Photos supplied via downloadable link. Five of these photos will then be selected by to appear on your child's comp card.
  4. Individual profile page on the Starfish Kids Casting Networks & Casting Apps sites.
  5. Renewal fee after 12 months is $175 per year.
