Shoot Tips

CALL TIMES & LOCATIONS
Call Sheets with call times & location details are always emailed to us the afternoon before the shoot & it's quite normal for us to receive them at 5.30pm!  We will email you the call details as soon as we receive them from the production company so if you haven't received them yet it means that we haven't received the details from production.

TRAVELLING TO SHOOTS
It’s really important that you arrive on time to all shoots, it’s a good idea to plan to arrive 5-10 minutes before your scheduled call time.  This industry relies on tight turnarounds; a talent is late this can affect production deadlines and can therefore be very costly to the client.  We always recommend that you allow ample time to find parking at your destination as well, much better to be early and in a calm state.

WHAT TO TAKE WITH YOU
As you’ll learn there is a lot of waiting around in this industry so it’s always a good idea to take along activities for the kids to play with during long waits and breaks (ie. Books, ipads, games etc).

Food & beverages are supplied on set but we also recommend taking some emergency snacks along for your child, just in case they don’t like the food provided on set.

Always please arrive on set with clean hair, face & nails.

WARDROBE
If production would like to bring any wardrobe along with you to the shoot, the wardrobe stylist will call you directly to discuss.

PARENT SUPERVISION ON SET

All kids up until the age of 14 years must have a parent or guardian on set with them.  Once a child turns 15 years old they can legally work the same hours as an adult and therefore don't require parent supervision.  These guidelines are set by the Office of Children's Employment, if an employer is found to be in breach of any of the regulation guidelines they can have their license revoked.

SIBLINGS ON SET

Similarly, sibling ARE NOT allowed on set.  Occasionally there are some exceptions to this rule so if you’re ever in the situation that you have to take another child to set please always notify us before the shoot so we can check with the client first.  As long as the lines of communication are open everyone is happy.

FEES
Please be aware the performance fees are strictly confidential and are not to be discussed with the client or other parents on set.

SOCIAL MEDIA
Any photographs taken whilst on any professional set are strictly confidential and may only be taken on the basis that the producers provide their consent and that they shall not be uploaded onto any social media sites until after the commercial, image or film has been released into the marketplace.
